This week we started some renovation work at St. John’s Lutheran church in Northfield. The church had some exterior brick tuckpointing done last year. We assisted the firm doing that work and the church with some miscellaneous carpentry repairs at that time. Our work this year mainly includes roof and flashing repairs.
The first task on a project like this is getting safe access established for the workers.
We erected a steel scaffold system to reach the roof. The scaffold has a stairway at one end so the workers can safely walk up to the work platform. They are working at preparing the roof to accept the new shingle materials.
