Last week I participated in a ‘Meet the General’ evening at Cabela’s in Owatonna. This event was hosted by the Minnesota chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors. The purpose of the gathering is to have area general contractors meet with various trade contractors that are interested in working together on projects. We had seven general contractors in attendance and over 75 trade contractors. The general contractors staffed tables and visited with 6-9 trade contractors for about 20 minutes, then switched off to a new bunch of trade contractors. I met several new folks that would like to work together with us on projects, and also saw some old familar faces.
