Yesterday evening the Northfield Lampert Lumber Yard held a customer appreciation dinner for area builders,
contractors and business people. It was a wonderful evening and a great chance for visiting. Held at the Three Links Park, it was catered by Nerstrand Meats. As far as I could tell, the hungry workers picked the hog clean to the bones….very tasty!
Owens-Corning used the gathering to show us all a slick new machine that blows insulation. Unlike larger, more bulky standard blowing machines, this one is very compact, extremely quiet, and seemed to do an excellent job pushing insulation along the hose. The insulation comes in pre-formed ‘packets’ that just shove right into the unit without making a mess at all. I can see this has great applications for room additions, remodeling and general energy tightening jobs.
There were of course all sorts of door prizes handed out as we all enjoyed our meal and visiting. A big thank you to Russ, Mark, Andrew and everyone at the Northfield Lamperts that coordinated this nice evening event.
