We have just about finished all our work on the 5th Street infrastructure project in Northfield. For the past couple of weeks we have been working on the corner of 5th and Washington Streets installing the streetscape enhancements.
The stone gates and seat walls have been installed. Yesterday workers installed the last of the ornamental fencing on 5th Street. This area was a bit more ‘tricky’ in that we had to set each fence post at a different height to allow for the slope of the grade. It turned out well and looks good.
This was a fun project to work on. It included a real variety of work from concrete steps and walks to stone walls and iron railings. We all are pleased to have been involved in making Northfield’s public areas look better.
