Yesterday I enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day with Ellen, my three children, their two spouses, and my two grandchildren. It was a perfect day for our outdoor picnic. My grandaughter is 15 months old and my grandson is 5 months old….perfect ages to have fun with Grandpa. The biggest treat for me however was from my three children. They each wrote down 2-3 memories of Dad from when they were little and read them to me. Hearing them tell me important activities from thier lives as little ones was the best Father’s Day gift I’ve had.
I hope all fathers had a chance to be with or speak to their children yesterday. And we all were saying prayers for the many children serving in our military units and overseas that could not be with their families. We wish them all a safe return.
