Exterior and Interior

Our workers have been busy working on the exterior siding on the new home we have under construction. This home has exterior walls constructed using insulated concrete forms (ICF) by Reward. Reward includes fastening strips on each side of the form. On the exterior the siding is screwed to the fastening strips. It is a bit slower using screws to attach the siding and trims, but it holds the siding securely to the house wall. Siding is exposed to significant wind volumes and needs to be attached securely to stay in place.

Work also has been moving along on the interior of the home. The drywall was installed and is being finished. The living room and master bedroom on this home have a vaulted ceiling. The vault is a 4/12 pitch so it ends up being about 12′ high at the peak, creaing a light, airy feel to the home.
