Dodge County Courthouse

100_0992 This week has been a busy week for us at the Dodge County Courthouse project. The scaffold erectors completed their work around the cupola. This has allowed the lead abatement contractors to finish their paint removal work. We are now rebuilding portions of100_0996 the cupola, including replacing all eight columns and the railings between them. This is somewhat ‘fussy’ work. Once we have our work done we will install a new copper roof on the cupola.

100_0995 The painters have completed their work on some of the gable ends of the building, as well as the second floor windows. The new crisp white paint really makes the building look good. We will be replacing the metal flashings with new white clad steel material.

Our workers have started removing the existing asphalt roof and are installing a new heavy weight asphalt roof. With the building wrapped fully in scaffold it provides a safe way to roof. The Courthouse is a tall building situated on a hill in Mantorville which gives a panoramic view of the city from the top….
