In spite of some pretty nasty weather we continue to move forward with our work at Faith Lutheran Church in Dodge Center. The foundation and concrete floor work was completed early last week. We have now moved on to the carpentry work. We’ve started framing with the office areas.
Like a lot of commercial projects, this one includes a
fair amount of steel work. In this photo you can see the light gauge steel studs that are starting to go up. This is in the sanctuary area where the ceilings are quite high. The steel studs maintain better wind load capabilities and stay straighter than wood studs. In the near future we will be installing some large steel beams to carry the roof load over this area.
