We recently started work on the Apple Valley Senior Center. This project is just
north of County Road 42 in Apple Valley. We are not the general contractor for the project…it is being constructed using the construction management process. Northfield Construction Company is performing carpentry work and related services.
Our first task is getting the roof trusses set and fastened in place. The carpenters bolt plates down to the masonry walls for the trusses to sit on, which is what is taking place in this photograph. Once the plates are solidly anchored in position, we will bring additional equipment to the site and start setting the roof system.
This project got off to a bit of a rough start due to a number of issues so we are working on it much later than originally scheduled. We hope winter weather cooperates and we can quickly get the roof set and the building enclosed.
