We have just about finished the heavy framing for our West side addition and remodeling project. The housewrap has been installed and the windows are going in. Inside we completed the electrical work on the upstairs sewing room and insulated it. We just removed the kitchen which is always a tough part of the job for the homeowners. We try to keep the ‘down time’ as short as possible.
This project includes a new main level bathroom and laundry room .The workers are installing those walls and the plumbers are right behind them doing their work. This project has had some challenges in that we have had to use some flush beams to make the project work out. That means it is difficult to cross as we are very limited in boring holes in the new beams. These new laminated beams are straight and strong, but we need to respect their limits.
