One of my lake cottage neighbors asked if I could help them out by building new stairs down to the lake. I finished up the work this weekend. Our cottages are about 40-45 steps above the lake. Often the older cottages have really rickety stairs. This neighbor had some wood sections, some log sections, some stone sections, some dirt sections and even a few root sections of steps….all without handrails. So we used some treated lumber and made a more organized travel path down the stairs to the lake for them.
