Not too long ago, a past client of ours contacted us about building their home on a lot they purchased in Northfield. They had a clear vision for design and energy-efficient enhancements that they wanted for their home. We worked with the owner to lead them through design and project approvals through the building code. They used a standing seam metal roof, bright colors, varied roof lines and other architectural details to create a contemporary yet timeless home. We also incorporated high R-value insulation, an efficient heating and cooling system, and constructed a chase and panel to prepare the home for future solar panels on the roof.
Recently, the client installed their solar panels. The home now boasts a beautiful lawn, environmentally friendly solar panels, and a happy summer air.
Solar panels hardly pollute the environment and are a good way to keep our environment clean unlike other sources of energy that release toxins into the air. Because solar energy is self-sufficient it doesn’t require water to work and will therefore not produce any greenhouse gases or cause water pollution.
