Our Elko work includes a garage addition and a dining room addition. We salvaged siding to use on the garage. But the owner wanted to do something different for the house addition. Instead of matching the existing clay siding and soffits we used a chocolate brown siding with white soffits and fascia. This creates a very distinct look to the new room.
Under the new dining room is a workshop. We are heating this new addition with in-floor heating. For the lower area we first laid down 2″ of rigid insulation. Then the heating tubes were stapled to the insulation, with the concrete floor poured on top. This will create a great heat source for the shop, without any open flame or air blowing.
