Winter Walk in Northfield

Last night was the Winter Walk community event in Northfield. The temperatures were mild and it was a lovely evening to be strolling around on Division Street seeing people and vendors. I attended with my family that now includes two grandchildren. This was a perfect event for little ones as it was exciting to be out in the dark with so many people milling around. We ran into a green gorilla which was a new experience for the children. Frosty the Snowman was a real treat!

The children and their moms had a ride on the wagon pulled by the large draft horses. From there we went to the public library to see the model trains on display. This was very interesting for everyone. The train displays were great and varied from a tropical display to a winter display.

A big thank you to all those involved in organizing Winter Walk! This is the kind of activity that makes Northfield a wonderful place to live.
