Our work at the spa room addition has progressed quickly. We have erected the sidewalls and the roof structure and set the windows and exterior door. We are using Marvin Integrity windows on this project. They are a good choice in this application as they have a wood interior surface and a very tough fiberglass exterior surface. The large windows and doors will really let in a lot of light to the room.
The roof on this addition is a ‘flat’ roof with a rubber
membrane for water protection. The roof actually pitches about ¼” per foot to drain water off of it. The owners wanted this type of roof with skylights in it. Using a flat roof creates the thinnest skylight shaft, allowing excellent light penetration into the room
